Wow... just wow

Let me just add the disclaimer that I'm not a vegetarian, or a vegan for that matter. However growing up my mother was a vegetarian for a long time simply because she disliked the taste of meat. When she would include meat in our meals it was merely as a side dish for the fruits and veggies, never the centerpiece. Since I've started working out and eating right following Mike's other books(which I also highly recommend) I've added a lot of meat back into my diet. I enjoy it, but I've really been missing that plant based goodness. This book brings that to me in a fun, easy, and delicious way. I've only tried a few recipes so far but the "Cookie Dough" Oatmeal Cereal alone is worth the price of this book. I thought I had to forgo green on my plate to get enough protein, but the recipes in this book are packed with it. Bottom line, if you want good healthy vegetarian or vegan food to build the body of your dreams or just because you love the deliciousness, get this book.

Just what I needed

This is an excellent resource. I'm not a vegetarian per se, but I am trying to put on mass and I want to do it in a healthy manner. I should also mention that I have virtually no cooking experience but this book walks you through every step. Plus this book makes counting calories and macronutrients very simple because every meal has it all laid out for you. Highly recommended.

Simple but tasty recipes; good for omnivores, too!

I handle most of the cooking in my family, but my wife is now helping because she's gone back to being vegetarian. This book is FANTASTIC for people who are relatively new to cooking because it's not overwhelming; the ingredients are available in regular grocery stores and the recipes are easy to follow. For those of us who cook regularly, the recipes are also easy to modify if you want to get a bit more complex. I'm an omnivore and have found the recipes in this book to be both tasty and satisfying. We've cooked about half of the recipes so far and have some favorites on weekly rotation.
